Captain Bill's passion for fishing Lake Erie started at a young age. He began fishing professionally at just 18 years old to help finance his college education. The locals just knew him as Billy, and he quickly developed a reputation for producing some of the best catches on Lake Erie and is a second generation USCG Licensed Fishing Guide. Now after more than 25 years of operating EyeHooker Sportfishing as a hobby business, he is proud to announce that he has transitioned into being available to share his fishing skills with clients full time.

"First Mate" - Blake Hitchcock
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!! First Mate Blake begins his 4th season aboard the EyeHooker in 2022. At just 15 years old Blake asked his dad if he could buy into the business and now he's not just a Mate but a Co-owner too. A portion of Blake's earnings are going towards ownership into EyeHooker's recently added 21' Ranger. Our customers agree that Blake is a real Game Changer on the back of the boat. Blake takes pride in his job and is always scrambling to keep things in order, providing assistance to customers whenever needed. Blake has an interest in joining the Coast Guard after High School and is considering The Great Lake Maritime Academy to further his education.
